Mary's Center recently announced Pedro Alfonso, Chairman and CEO of Dynamics Concepts, Inc. and David Velazquez, President and CEO of Pepco Holdings, as Co-Chairs of its annual gala Noche Tropical.
WASHINGTON, DC -- Mary's Center recently announced Pedro Alfonso, Chairman and CEO of Dynamics Concepts, Inc. and David Velazquez, President and CEO of Pepco Holdings, as Co-Chairs of its annual gala Noche Tropical, to be held on October 28, 2016 at 6:30 pm at the Washington Hilton Hotel.
Mr. Alfonso and Mr. Velazquez are known for their commitment to helping serve the local community. As gala Co-Chairs, they will help increase the event's visibility and encourage participation in Mary's Center's largest fundraiser of the year. With help from the gala's Steering Committee, Alfonso and Velazquez will lead the effort to raise $550,000 to continue to support individuals and families in need through health, dental, behavioral health and social services and programs.
During the gala, Mary's Center will honor several of the region's committed partners and supporters who work diligently to provide opportunities for the Center's participants and neighbors to build a brighter future. With the theme, Noche Tropical: Un Carnaval, Mary's Center's guests will enjoy a truly festive and memorable evening to celebrate the Center's achievements during the past year and reaffirm their commitment to fulfill the Promise of Tomorrow for families and individuals throughout our region. This year, Noche Tropical: Un Carnaval will take place at the Washington Hilton, where 500 guests will enjoy a cocktail reception, gourmet dinner, live and silent auctions, dancing, musical entertainment by La Hora Loca, and a Rum and Cigars bar.
